E. Jarvis Pugmire passed away peacefully on December 30, 2009 in his Hemet, California home. Jarvis was born on March 10, 1929 in St. Charles, Idaho to Johnathan James Pugmire and Ada Lillian Christensen. He served in the Navy and later married Della Hansen in Ogden, Utah in 1948. He worked at several jobs early in his career, eventually becoming employed by American Linen Supply Company, first as a driver, than as the production manager in Blackfoot, Idaho. In 1968 he transferred to SLC, UT as a Production Manager and ultimately became the Production Administrator, Linen Supply Division for Steiner Corporation, a job he thoroughly enjoyed. He met Joan A. Williams on an airplane and they married in 1979. He retired in 1990 and moved to Hemet, California in 1992 where they resided until the time of his death. He dearly loved his children and grandchildren, which were a great source of pride and happiness for him. He looked forward each year to the Pugmire family reunion in Utah where he was reunited with brothers and sisters, children and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Joan "Curley", sons Steven (Beth) and Mark (Kaylene), daughters Linda (Chuck) and Georgia Lee, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren. He is also survived by brother Jack, sisters Myrtle, Dona and Karma. He is preceded in death by parents Johnathan and Lillian, brothers James, Reed, and Kay, sisters Leola, Marjorie, and Verna. Services will be held at Riverside National Cemetery on Wednesday January 13th at 10:00 a.m. in Riverside, California. Dad, we love you and will miss you more than you can know. We admired your work ethic, your great sense of humor and the example you are to all of us.

I miss you so much. I wish I would have made more of an effort to come and see you, but Im glad I got to know you as well as I did. I will cherish my many memories of you forever. Your crassy jokes, going out to dinner as a big family, your grapefruits growing on the side of your house, the strawberry Crush, your comfy Cadillac, the 'Entemanns' desserts in your pantry, the cups with our names on them, the easter baskets, your kiss on my cheek, and big hugs. Bye grandpa, we love you. See you again soon.
